Godwin's career began with retail giant Shoppers Stop, where he gained firsthand experience in consumer behavior and brand interaction. He then joined Mumbai Mirror, playing a marketing role during the newspaper's launch—an experience that shaped his understanding of media dynamics, content distribution, and public sentiment.
In the corporate arena, he went on to work with Zenta, a BPO under the Hiranandani Group in Powai, where he handled Capital One's U.S. collections portfolio—a critical training ground in finance, compliance, and customer lifecycle management.
His next milestone came with Hutchison 3G Australia (later Vodafone Australia), where he worked in both the Sales and Customer Support divisions during a transformative period for the Australian telecom industry. Godwin distinguished himself by winning several internal awards and recognition for:
Resolving customer-impacting issues during the iPhone launch in Australia
Contributing to the launch of unlimited plans and free postpaid handsets
Supporting operational transitions from 3G to 4G
